Languages:
Michelson's writing. Apparently Algonquian. In some notes at the end comparisons are made with Cree, Fox, etc. One informant's name given as Powshiek, suggesting Sauk and Fox.
Contains unusual, rather than common words; evidently a selective vocabulary relating to one text. --Comment by M.R. Haas, 11/58.
Fox, according to I. Goddard (4/67). Goddard says there is index in box 1 and 2 and a second at the end of box 2; corresponds with the note in box 1.
Vocabularies of words and phrases, often with final vowels elided. The entries are structurally similar to the sequences separated by spaces in the texts of AR Bureau of American Ethnology 40. Fox for the same reasons as 3973. Paul Voorhis (February 1968)
