Custodial History
According to information received from persons who have seen the collection, Fiske purchased the original collection from S. T. Fansler, who had apparently been in partnership at one time with a man named Fuller, for mounted prints with the imprint, "Fuller and Fansler" were found with the collection. Transmitted by Miss Margaret Rose, Librarian, Historical Society of North Dakota, with letter of January 17, 1957. Correspondence in Smithsonian Institution-Bureau of American Ethnology files.
