Scope and Contents

Scope and Contents
Mainly extracted from published historical sources, in rough alphabetical arrangement by subject and tribe. Covers wide variety of subjects, often with only one card per subject; fairly extensive file (approximately 500 cards) on sign language. Some entries filed under tribe name, but entries filed by subject are not cross-indexed by tribe. Presumably the principal coverage is of the northern and southern Plains tribes, and the Apache--Scott's main areas of interest and experience.
