Includes Autograph letter signed from Matthew W. Stirling to John P. Harrington. No date, 1 slip. Typescript letter signed from Harrington to Stirling. No date, 1 slip. Correspondence includes the meaning of the Dakota inscription "Okodakiciye Wakan Oceti Xakowin," Church of the Seven Council Fires [the Dakota]. The medallion was formerly in the possession of J.
