Custodial History
Josiah Butler, collector, was a Quaker teacher under Agent Lawrie Tatum on the Comanche-Kiowa Agency, 1870-73. Photographs copied by Marsha Jackson from prints in Oklahoma Historical Society and donated to Smithsonian Office of Anthropology by her; information added to backs of prints was received during her visit to Smithsonian Office of Anthropology 12/1968.
