Custodial History
This dictionary is apparently the one returned to the Bureau of American Ethnology by Augusta Robertson Moore, December 1, 1905, soon after the death of her mother, Mrs. A.E.W. Robertson. The letter states that the dictionary was sent to "Mother by the Smithsonian Institution for notes and corrections," which were "far from finished" at the time of Mrs. Robertson's death. (See Augusta Robertson Moore's letter of December 1, 1905, in Bureau of American Ethnology Correspondence Files.) Found in B.A.E. Library by William C. Sturtevant in late 1950's.
