One notes concerns a mound twelves miles south of Columbia, South Carolina, and the other a village site west of Waynesboro, Georgia.

Custodial History
The notes were found by Bruce Smith at the Laboratory of Arachaeology at the University of Georgia. They were mixed in with blank site forms. Smith took them to his office at the university for safe keeping. He sent them to the archives on October 18, 1977.
