Custodial History note
Glass negatives given by Ed Edson to Dr. Peter Thaddeus Barber, Sr., shortly before he moved away from Chadron in 1901. They were donated to the National Anthropological Archives by Mary B. Breckenridge through Joanna Scherer of the Handbook of North American Indians Project, 2001. Prints originally filed in MS 4701 were made from the glass negatives in 1961 for Dr. R. W. Breckenridge, Iowa State College, and donated by Dr. Breckenridge through the Missouri Basin Project, River Basin Surveys in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Processing Information
Photographs previously filed in MS 4701 have been relocated and merged with Photo Lot 2001-14.
