Portraits of Chief Curly Bear, Chief Big Spring, Chief Shoots, Chief Little Chief, and the wives of Curly Bear, Little Chief, and Little Light. The chiefs wear war bonnets and medals and were among "the last of the 1870-1880s Indian Chiefs of the Indian/White wars, and their squaws. . . brought to Minneapolis to have oil paintings made. . . for the T. B. Walker Art Gallery." The photographs were made by Shoberg at the Lou Sweet studio in Minneapolis.
