The Yegi-Honten Studio was Yegi M.'s main studio, based in Awajicho, Kanda district. The studio was responsible for some of Japan's exhibit photographs at the Louisiana Purchase Exposition (1904).
The Japanese Red Cross Society was founded by Count Tsunetami Sano in 1877. Originally known as Hakuaisha, it was intended to provide relief aid during the Satsuma Rebellion of that year. The organization provided medical supplies, rescue measures, and social work services. It was renamed the Japanese Red Cross Society in 1887.
