The Smithsonian-New South Wales Expedition was an ethnological collecting expedition and research project relating to traditional crafts, technologies, and cottage industries in Pakistan during the period 1967-1979. Sponsored by the Smithsonian Institution's Ancient Technology Program and the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia, the program included collectors Don Godden, Elaine Godden, Owen S. Rye, Hans Wulff, Roswitha Wulff, and Charles Walton.
