Photographs made in connection with Wright's book The Tiguas: Pueblo Indians of Texas. They include images of Tiwa Indians, ceremonies, processions on the days of St. John and St. Anthony, dancers, bread-making, pottery, dwellings, the Tigua Visitor Center, Mount Carmel Mission, and Gran Quivira. Many photographs show Tiwa individuals at their place of work, including the Paso Pak Chili Company manufacturing plant and the El Paso County sheriff's office.

Bill Wright is a businessman and photographer in Abilene, Texas. He is the author or photographer of four photography books: Portraits from the Desert: Bill Wright's Big Bend, The Tiguas: Pueblo Indians of Texas, The Texas Kicakpoo: Keepers of Tradition, and People's Lives: A Photographic Celebration of the Human Spirit.
