This collection consists of 77 copy prints of Luftwaffe and American World War II aircraft, including: Dornier Do 17; Heinkel He 111; Focke-Wulf FW 200; Junkers Ju 88; Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress; Martin B-26 Marauder; Northrop P-61A Black Widow; Douglas A-20 Havoc; and Consolidated B-24 Liberator. There are also a large number of nose art images. The Boeing B-17 aircraft pictured are Eighth Air Force; some Ninth Air Force aircraft are also included.
Scope and Contents
An additional seven copy prints were added in the Fall of 1997: five of the images were of the Travel Air 2000, and two of the images were of the de Havilland (Airco) D.H.4. The donor also donated several copies of color advertisements for the Northrop P-61.
