This collection consists of 42 photographs of training and service life at Majors Field, Texas, and later in the Philippines. Included are images of Vultee BT-13As, Bell P-39Ns, and Martin B-26Cs, as well as shots of personnel and base life. There are also a few images of Red Skelton doing a comic routine at Majors Field.

John Marshall Short (1913- ) who was a member of the Majors Field Photographic Laboratory personnel during World War II. Originally, Majors Field was a basic training school using BT-13As. Later, the base would expand as an advanced training center using P-47 Thunderbolts for training.
