Scope and Contents
This collection consists of 67 black and white captured German photographs from a variety of sources that Eisen removed from the Air Document Research Center, as they were going to be discarded. The photographs include shots of World War II German aircraft from the following German companies: Dornier; Junkers; Heinkel; and Lippisch. There are also 14 snapshots taken by Eisen of captured German aircraft at Wright-Patterson AFB, a German code book issued to him for his translation work in England, and a Lockheed brochure.

Biographical / Historical
Irving Eisen was in the U.S. Navy during World War II and because of his command of German, he was stationed at the Air Document Research Center in London, England where he worked on translations for captured German documents and photographs. After the war, he worked at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base where captured German aircraft were held.
