EThis collection consists of seventeen negatives, with corresponding prints, of the military aircraft on display at the 1945 Air Forces Fair at Wright Field. The following German and American military aircraft were included: Junkers Ju 388; Junkers Ju 290 A; Bachem BA 349 B-1 Natter; Messerschmitt Me 262 and Me 163B; Heinkel He 162; Northrop MX-324; V-2; and Bell XP-77 and XP-83. There is also a print of American Philip E. Johnson, with Charles Chung, head of Chinese aircraft procurement and support of the American Volunteer Group, and Liang Po, a Chinese engineer sent to the United States to learn various aircraft part repair and servicing.

From 1943 until 1945, Larry De Haan served as the chief technician in the instrument shop at Wright Field, OH, and at the satellite field at Vandalia,OH,as part of the Army Air Forces Material Command's Service Test Branch. In October of 1945, Wright Field sponsored an Air Forces Fair, which allowed the public to observe displays of Army Air Forces operational and experimental aircraft as well as captured German and Japanese aircraft.
