. Appleblood was stationed at Tinian, Northern Marianas Islands, from February 1945 to August 1945 and flew 35 missions, mainly to attack targets in Japan. Appleblood was awarded the bronze oak-leaf cluster to the Air Medal in July 1945 and was also awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross.Administration
