This collection consists of the following documents: "Fly License Program;" "Airport Ground Vehicle Operations;" "Independence Air Grooming and Uniform Guidelines," October 2004; "CRJ Outstation RON Cleaning Program;" information about transporting passengers in a wheelchair; "Space-Available and Confirmed Space Travel on Independence Air;" "Job-Specific Known-How Part I, IAD Unit Supervisor;" "FLYi University Initial Qualification Training;" "Draft IAD 2005/2006 Winter Operations Pan for Independence Air," October 13, 2005; gate sheets; a memo to Independence Air employees on integrity and ethics; "Washington Dulles Airport Runway 12-30 Hold Apron Deicing Layouts;" a diagram showing the safety envelope for an aircraft; and one 8 by 10 inch photograph of Independence Air, N641BR. This collection also consists of 81 color prints in various sizes and 15 35mm color negatives taken of aircraft at Dulles International Airport. These images were taken by the donor and include the following aircraft that are now part of the National Air and Space Museum's collection: Air France Concorde; PAA Boeing Stratoliner; and the Boeing 367-80(702). Other aircraft represented are as follows; British Aerospace Jetstream 41; Canadair CL-600; Bombardier CRJ200ER; Boeing 727-228; Douglas DC-8; Douglas DC-10; Ilyushin Il-62M; Ilyushin Il-76M; and the Antonov AN-124 Condor. The following airlines are represented: United Express; United Arab Emirates; All Nippon Airways; Northwest; Gambia; Sabena and Korean Air. Besides the aircraft shots, there are also images of ramp operations, and maintenance and engine operations.

Independence Air was a short-lived, post-deregulation airline that served the Washington, DC metropolitan area from Washington Dulles International Airport. Owned by FLYi, Inc., Independence Air operated from 1989 until 2006 and its route network focused on the east coast of the United States. Antone Galenao was the Supervisor for Aircraft Support for Independence Air from 2001 to 2006.
