This collection consists of two Army-Navy Aircraft (ANA) Standard Colors books (6.5 by 5.5 inches): Army-Navy Aircraft Camouflage Standard Colors, June 1943 -June 1944; and Army-Navy Aircraft Color Standards, March 1945.

Biographical / Historical
The United States air forces used a variety of paint standard systems until 1943, when the Joint Aircraft Committee's Army-Navy Aircraft (ANA) color standards were accepted. This system provided a standard for all Army, Navy, and Royal Air Force aircraft produced in the United States.
