John E. Considine was in the United States Air Force from 1964 to 1969 during which time he was assigned to the 71st Aerial Refueling Squadron stationed at Dow Air Force Base, Maine. During 1967 and 1968, Considine was assigned to temporary duty at U-Tapao Royal Thai Navy Airfield and Takhli Royal Thai Air Force Base, Thailand. This collection consists of 199 cardboard mounted 35mm color slides of images taken by Considine during his service with the US Air Force in and around Takhli Royal Thai Air Force Base, Thailand; U-Tapao Royal Thai Navy Airfield, Thailand; and Dow Air Force Base, Maine; as well as images taken in flight over Laos and North Vietnam. The collection also includes some prints made from the slides as well as CDs of scans made from the slides by the donor.

This collection consists of approximately 199 cardboard mounted 35mm color slides. Accompanying the slides are CDs of scans made by the donor. The collection also contains twenty-one 4 by 6 inch color prints of images that are in the slides/CDs. Photos were taken in and around Takhli Royal Thai Air Force Base, Thailand; U-Tapao Royal Thai Navy Airfield, Thailand; and Dow Air Force Base, Maine. There are also images taken in flight over Laos and North Vietnam. Many of the photographs are air to air views taken from the tanker during aerial refueling operations and there are also photographs of various squadron personnel and facilities as well as a set of images of the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds aerial demonstration team performing. Aircraft depicted in the photographs include the Republic F-105 Thunderchief; Boeing RB-47 Stratojet; Boeing RC-135; Boeing B-52 Stratofortress; Boeing KC-135; Convair B-58 Hustler; North American F-100 Super Sabre; McDonnell F-101 Voodoo; McDonnell F-4C (F-110A) Phantom II; Douglas RB-66 Destroyer; Lockheed F-104 Starfighter; and North American F-86 Sabre.

John E. Considine was in the United States Air Force from 1964 to 1969. Considine completed navigator training at James Connally Air Force Base, Texas, and then was assigned to the 71st Aerial Refueling Squadron stationed at Dow Air Force Base, Maine. During 1967 and 1968, Considine was assigned to temporary duty at U-Tapao Royal Thai Navy Airfield and Takhli Royal Thai Air Force Base, Thailand. The 71st Aerial Refueling Squadron was moved to Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana in 1968 and Considine retired in 1969 at the rank of captain.
