Wiley Hardeman Post (1898-1935) was an American aviator famed for several record flights, including the first solo flight around the world. Post won the 1930 Bendix Race flying in F. C. Hall's Lockheed Model 5B Vega
Winnie Mae
(NR105W), and the following year Post, along with Harold Gatty, circumnavigated the world in the Winnie Mae
. After this historic first, Post bought the Winnie Mae
from Hall and flew the same course alone in 1933.Administration
