This collection consists of one scrapbook that contains magazine and newspaper clippings pertaining to Faucett Aviation Company's early history. Magazines include: 'The Peruvian Times;' 'Andean Air Mail;' and 'The West Coast Leader.' There are Faucett Airlines Ads and 8 black and white photographs of Elmer and wife Venetha Faucett, while he receives the Aviation Cross of the First Order, 1942.

Elmer J. Faucett (1891-1960) worked for Curtiss Aircraft as a mechanic before he enlisted in World War I. In 1920, Faucett transferred to Roosevelt Field and was put in charge of service and maintenance. In June of that year, after being fired for a stunt, Faucett was sent to Peru. On October 5, 1922 he was the first man to fly over the Andes mountains, and fly from Lima to Iquitos. On September 15, 1928 he began the Faucett Aviation Company, a cargo and passenger airline which became Peru's oldest and largest domestic airline.
