Scope and Contents
Scrapbooks include press clippings, mainly photographs of major league baseball players; pamphlets, including playing records of individual players; and a few loose newspaper clippings. Many newspaper photograph clippings of well-known players of the period include posed head and full-length portraits as well as numerous action pictures of batters, fielders and pitchers. No indication of dates or names of the publications. One scrapbook includes handwritten essays for a history class as well as the sports clippings.
Scope and Contents
The five pamphlets about various aspects of baseball include three published by manufacturers of baseball equipment. One, published by "Baseball Magazine", is a compilation of annual lifetime playing statistics on batting and pitching for over 200 major league players for 1903-1928.
