Scope and Contents
Photographs and photograph albums documenting engineering projects with which Robert Weide was involved. They include the Potomac Electric Power Company plant in Washington, D.C.; the Bureau of Engraving and Printing building in Washington, D.C.;. a hydroelectric plant on the James River for Bedford City, Virginia; a power plant in Salem, Ohio; a power plant in Ridgway, Pennsylvania; a power plant in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia; a power plant in Logan, West Virginia; a dam project at Coleman Falls, Virginia; the Madeira School in Fairfax, Virginia; a railroad bridge at Clifton Forge, Virginia; a railroad station at Buffalo Springs, Virginia; and other projects. Also includes images of families, street scenes, and recreational activities (such as fishing and picnicking) at some of these locations. Devil Anse Hatfield (of the Hatfield-McCoy feud,) is in some of the photographs.
