A collection of ephemera and advertising materials relating to brewing and brewing companies.

Scope and Contents
An artificial collection of archival materials relating to brewing in America. As accruals are received, the collection will be organized according to donor. Initial donation from the Anchor Brewing Co. is an original press sheet from the first printing of an Anchor Steam beer bottle label, 1968.
The collection is arranged into six series.
Series 1: Anchor Brewing Company
Series 2: Louis P. Hutchins
Series 3: Jeff Lebesch
Series 4: Michael J. Lewis
Series 5: Bill Owens (Buffalo Bill's Brewery)
Series 6: Joseph Williams
This collection is a repository for brewing-related archival materials from varied sources, including curatorial units, the public, and Smithsonian staff, which may be augmented periodically by new acquisitions.
Immediate Source of Acquisition
Collection donated by the Anchor Brewing Company though David Burkhart in 2017.
Additional materials were donated by: Joseph Williams (2018); Louis P. Hutchins (2018); Michael J. Lewis (2018); Jeff Lebesch (2018); and Bill Owens (2018) and Buffalo Bill's Brewery through Geoff Harries (2018).
