The collection documents the life and work of author and poet Michele Serros. The collection covers her childhood and early life, including her school years and her work as a poet, speaker and author. Included are papers from her early education, including school papers, essays, and a "slam book". The collection also documents her high school and college years, including syllabi, test papers, research papers, essays, class notes, etc. Also included are drafts and notes for her later writings, including her poetry book entitled Chicana Falsa, loose sheets of poetry or drafts of poetry, a script for the George Lopez Show, some business records relating to her books, newsletters, notes and notebooks, letters including fan mail, and zines from her college years. Additionally, the collection includes her very large collection of rock music, punk music and other posters, some dating back to the Psychedelic era, but mostly on Latino subjects.
