Papers contain a 133-page typescript "Private log book of a little trip to Nicaragua" by Brown, including a map of the Nicaragua canal route and photographs, 1897-1898. Also includes letters from Brown to relatives concerning his work, especially in Nicaragua and at the Dry Tortugas.
