Descriptive Entry
This accession consists of 18 video elements (1" magnetic masters, Beta masters, dubs and burn-ins, VHS copies); and 4 audio elements (1/4" audiotapes) documenting the interactive video, "300 Years of American Papermaking," that accompanied the National Museum of American History exhibition of the same name. The exhibition commemorated the building of the first paper mill in the American colonies in 1690 near Germantown, PA, by William Rittenhouse and his partners; the men and women who contributed to the industry's astonishing growth; and the manifold utilitarian and artistic uses of paper products.
