This accession consists of the records of Neil Kotler, Program Specialist, documenting special projects and events Kotler coordinated for J. Dennis O'Connor, the Under Secretary for Science, with earlier records dating back to when O'Connor was Provost for the Smithsonian. The materials primarily consist of correspondence, memoranda, and notes pertaining to lecture series, conferences, committees, regents orientation, humanities research, receptions, public visitations to museums, awards, and museum director searches.
