Descriptive Entry
Descriptive Entry
This accession consists of records that document planning for and installation of New & Different: Home Interiors in Eighteenth-Century America, a small, temporary exhibition supplementing the larger, long-term installation of After the Revolution: Everyday Life in America, 1780-1800 at the National Museum of American History. The exhibition focus was on household objects, their use, and their significance, which together reveal major changes in American home life during the 18th century. Materials include the correspondence and memoranda of curators Anne Castrodale Golovin and Rodris C. Roth; exhibition proposal, script, design plan, and installation layout; information pertaining to object loans, budget, publicity, publication, and exhibition opening; and photographs of the curators responsible for creating the exhibition.
