This accession consists of papers documenting the professional career of Storrs L. Olson, an avian paleontologist and curator in the Division of Birds, National Museum of Natural History. Included is professional correspondence documenting curatorial duties, field work, and the publication of results; photographs of Olson; correspondence, drafts, photographs, and illustrations concerning his published manuscripts; and materials and correspondence pertaining to the 4th International Meeting of the Society of Avian Paleontology and Evolution (SAPE), June 4-7, 1996, organized by Storrs L. Olson and Helen F. James.
