This accession consists of records documenting the administrative and business affairs of Smithsonian Productions, created and maintained by Nazaret Cherkezian, Director, 1976-1986, and Paul B. Johnson, Director, 1988-2002. Some materials were created by the Smithsonian Institution, Division of Performing Arts before the production of classical recordings was moved to Smithsonian Productions. Materials include budgets, productions schedules, correspondence, memoranda, agreements, marketing materials, marketing surveys, catalogs, clippings, and advisory board records.
