This accession consists of video elements created during the production of "Masters of Silver" and "Rescue in the Wild: Endangered Species and Habitat Protection at the Smithsonian Institution." Completed in 1992, "Masters of Silver" (12:47) was produced to accompany a Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Services show of the handwrought silver of Englishman Omar Ramsden, active in London from the turn of the century until 1939. "Rescue in the Wild: Endangered Species and Habitat Protection at the Smithsonian Institution" was produced in 1993 for the Smithsonian National Associates Program, Contributing Membership. Materials include original camera footage (for "Masters of Silver" only), narration, edited masters, protection master (for "Rescue in the Wild" only), and prints. Formats include Betacam, Betacam SP, D-2, 3/4" U-matic, and VHS. Copies of "Rescue in the Wild" and "Masters of Silver" are available in the Reference Library.
