This accession consists of audio and videotapes created during the production of "Covering the Environment: Front Page or Yesterday's News?" This 30 minute video was created for an Earth Day conference in April 1990, held in Washington, D.C., to encourage new strategies in reporting critical environmental stories in the news. It was only distributed to media professionals. The video was based on discussions at a meeting about the global environment, held in September 1989. Materials include shoot tapes on 3/4" U-matic and Super VHS; narration and audio mix on 1/4" tape; four- and eight-track magnetic tape, and audio recordings of the September meeting and Earth Day conference on audio cassette.
