This accession primarily includes records documenting the exhibition The Afro-American Tradition in the Decorative Arts, which was organized by the Cleveland Museum of Art and staged by Richard E. Ahlborn, Curator in the Division of Community Life, at the National Museum of History and Technology. Materials include the correspondence, memoranda, and notes of Richard E. Ahlborn; exhibition handbook; object lists; photographs and slides of artifacts used in the exhibition; education program information; label scripts; and symposium information. Also includes some curatorial correspondence which dates back to when the Division of Community Life was known as the Division of Cultural History.
