This accession consists of audiovisual records collected or created by the Office of Public Affairs of press coverage and publicity in regards to the National Museum of the American Indian (NMAI). Subjects covered include the groundbreaking and construction of the Washington, D.C. museum; the National Powwow; press conferences; public service announcements; interviews with NMAI staff; and the exhibition, Pathways of Tradition: Indian Insights into Indian Worlds. Materials include VHS tapes, Betacam-SP tapes, U-matic tapes, and audiocassettes.
