This accession consists of the records of Steven D. Lubar, Curator, documenting exhibition planning, development, and production in the Division of Work and Industry, and when that Division was known as the Division of the History of Technology. Also includes the records of Kathleen M. Kendrick, Project Curator and Research Assistant; and Lynn Chase, Project Manager for the exhibition The Price of Freedom: Americans at War. The records document the following exhibitions of which some were proposed but never opened: West Point in the Making of America, 1802-1918, The Price of Freedom: Americans at War, American Legacies, Treasures of American History, Spirit of America, and Explore American History. Materials consist of correspondence, memoranda, and notes; exhibition proposals; planning and design information; scripts; budget summaries and fundraising information; contracts and agreements; press releases; loan information and object lists; meeting agendas and minutes; articles; floor plans and design drawings; education and programming information; lecture papers; exhibition brochures; progress reports; book project information; photographs; and research material. Some materials are in electronic format.
