This accession consists of records which document exhibitions at the National Museum of the American Indian (NMAI). Exhibitions documented include Indians as Children See Them; Tutavoh: Learning the Hopi Way; All Roads Are Good: Native Voices on Life and Culture; This Path We Travel: Celebrations of Contemporary Native American Creativity; Creation's Journey: Masterworks of Native American Identity and Belief; Pathways of Tradition: Indian Insights into Indian Worlds; and Shared Visions: Native American Painters and Sculptors in the Twentieth Century. Some of the materials date from when NMAI was known as the Museum of the American Indian, Heye Foundation. Materials include correspondence, memoranda, exhibition scripts, floor plans, object lists, object diagrams, label text, images, fact sheets, reports, proposals, architectural drawings, interview transcripts, and artist biographies.
