This accession consists of the Department of Botany website as it existed on July 11, 2011. The website includes information on research projects, collections, staff, and awards presented by the department; bibliographies and online versions of staff publications; botanical photographs and illustrations; the monthly "Biological Conservation Newsletter," produced by the Department of Botany; the quarterly newsletter, "The Plant Press," jointly produced by the Department of Botany and the United States National Herbarium; and references and tools for botanists. It also serves as the official website for the Smithsonian Botanical Symposium. Materials are in electronic format.
