Descriptive Entry
This accession consists of records that document the Lemelson Center exhibition, Invention at Play. This exhibition was structured as an interactive exhibition that examined the similarities between the ways children and adults play and the creative processes used by innovators in science and technology. Opening in 2002, Invention at Play (IAP) was both a traveling exhibition and permanent exhibition at the National Museum of American History (NMAH) until it closed in 2011. People represented in the collection include Gretchen Jennings, Project Director, and Claudine Klose, Program Manager. Materials include correspondence, memoranda, surveys, reports, budget records, interview transcripts, grant proposals, brochures, newsletters, feasibility studies, images, audio recordings, videotapes, architectural drawings, floor plans, and clippings. Some materials are in electronic format.
