This accession consists of records documenting Discovery Boxes, also known as Family Room Boxes, maintained by the Naturalist Center for use by visiting families. The Naturalist Center, 1976-2011, provided hands-on learning experiences for students and adults through the use of study collections. The Family Room Boxes were designed for children who were too young to use the main study collection. Materials include activity instructions and inventories.
