This accession consists of records that document the operation and administration of the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute's (STRI) San Blas field station in the Kuna Yala territory on the Atlantic coast of Panama. Many of the records document the relations and agreements between STRI and the local indigenous group, the Cuna (or Kuna) Indians. Other topics include facilities, research, and equipment. The majority of the records were created by D. Ross Robertson, Scientist-in-Charge.
