This accession consists of the website and blog maintained by the Smithsonian Affiliations. Smithsonian Affiliations is a membership program for museums and other cultural institutions.
The website, crawled February 5, 2013, discusses requirements and benefits of membership and provides a description of each of its affiliated organizations. In addition, it includes digital copies of The Affiliate paper newsletter and the electronic e-Affiliate newsletter.
The Affiliate blog, crawled February 26, 2013, highlights programs at affiliate organizations. The blog was opened in July 2006.
