This accession consists of records that document the activities, history, membership, meetings, and publications of the American Arachnological Society (AAS). People represented include Charles D. Dondale, William B. Peck, Nan Lawler, David B. Richman, Karl J. Stone, and Beatrice Vogel. Publications include the Journal of Arachnology, the American Arachnology newsletter, and the Common Spiders of North America. Of particular interest are the records related to a history of the AAS prepared by Vogel as well as the compilation of arachnologists biographies. Materials include correspondence, memoranda, journals, presentations, meeting programs and proceedings, picture postcards, images, and clippings. Some materials are in electronic format.
