Descriptive Entry

Descriptive Entry
This collection consists of four field books and several individual pages by Joshua F. B. Camblos (1916-2012). Camblos was a medical doctor with an avid interest in ornithology. He spent much time exploring the woods of Virginia creating detailed notes on his sightings and collecting eggs of Virginia's wild birds. These volumes detail his egg collecting and nesting observations, particularly of the bald eagle. Localities in Virginia include Big Stone Gap, Parramore Island, Wachapreague, Princess Anne County, and Lynchburg.
Due to significant water and mold damage, only a digitized version of the field notes is included in this accession.
