This accession consists of program records documenting accepted applicants for fellowships, research positions, and internships at the Smithsonian Institution, with earlier records dating back to when the Office of Fellowships and Internships was known as the Office of Fellowships, the Office of Research Training and Services, the Office of Fellowships and Grants, and the Office of Academic Studies. Materials include correspondence, memoranda, and notes; project descriptions; applications; research proposals; contracts and award agreements; budget summaries; progress reports; evaluation, survey, and questionnaire forms; and clippings.
