This accession consists of records that document that planning, building, and administration of the Winton M. Blount Center for Postal Studies at the National Postal Museum. The Blount Center was funded in large part by former Postmaster General Winton M. Blount and serves as a research, education, and conference center at the museum to explore, document and interpret the role of the postal system in American life through research and public outreach. Materials include correspondence, memoranda, agreements, proposals, meeting notes, drawings, floor plans, and images.
