Descriptive Entry
This accession consists primarily of the correspondence of Clyde F. E. Roper, Research Zoologist Emeritus in the Department of Invertebrate Zoology. These records span his entire career, including some materials that predate his work at the National Museum of Natural History. Roper specialized in cephalopods with a particular focus on giant squids. These records relate to research, expeditions, collections, departmental matters, exhibitions, publications, education, and outreach.
