This accession consists of research files compiled by Marianna Shreve Simpson, Curator, for her book "Persian Poetry, Painting, and Patronage: Illustrations in a Sixteenth-Century Masterpiece" published in 1998. Many of the materials document the history, condition, and conservation of the Freer Jami, an illustrated version of the Haft Awrang in the collections of the Freer Gallery of Art and Arthur M. Sackler Gallery. Materials include photocopies of texts, reprints, notes, citations, correspondence, outlines, and related materials.
