Descriptive Entry
Descriptive Entry
This accession consists of the "Object Project" website as it existed on August 27, 2014, shortly before it was discontinued. The Object Project encourages the public to help the National Museum of American History create new ways for people to discover history. The website is built on a blog platform and allows users to submit and comment on stories about objects as well as vote on ideas for interacting with objects. Stories were submitted between October and December 2011. The website is intended to provide input for the development of a physical space at the National Museum of American History for interacting with objects. Materials are in electronic format.
